Free Nationally Recognized Spine Health Program (2 CME) sponsored by Excellus BCBS in cooperation with Spine Care Partners LLC
Simpler, Easier & Better Spine Care
A Community Approach to Managing Back and Neck Pain
Excellus BCBS is proud to introduce to our region a nationally recognized educational program for primary care practitioners founded on evidence-based spine care guidelines. PCP feedback to trainings has been very positive, ultimately delivering high patient and provider satisfaction through increased efficiencies and better outcomes. All Physicians, NPs, PAs are invited to attend.
The Spine Health Program focuses on a community wide approach to patient active care that embraces a best evidence care pathway, emphasizing the importance of early contact providers, active patient engagement / decision making and clear, engaging communication.
Nationally and regionally, medical costs of spine care have increased significantly over the last 20 years, accompanied by an increase in spine disability. Studies show that first-line provider decisions greatly influence downstream chronicity, disability and costs. Thus, PCPs are a key in solving the problem of spine care.
At the conclusion of this 2 credit continuing education program, you will be able to apply the diagnostic, treatment and communication skills required to effectively manage the majority of patients with spine-related disorders, ranging from the simple and straightforward patients to the more complex patients, such as those with radiculopathy and chronic pain. You will also gain skills in functioning as a specially-trained spine practitioner within an integrated spine pathway, focused on case coordination (referral, follow up, clinical decision making) across the full cycle of care.
2 hours of recorded online training in total.
