Free Nationally Recognized Spine Health Program (2 CME) sponsored by Univera in cooperation with Spine Care Partners LLC
Simpler, Easier & Better Spine Care
A Community Approach to Managing Back and Neck Pain
Univera is proud to introduce to our region a nationally recognized educational program based on evidence based spine care guidelines. We are encouraging our medical directors, nursing staff and coders to attend this 2hr course on appropriate, community-based spine care.
The Spine Health Program focuses on a community wide approach to patient active care that embraces a best evidence care pathway, emphasizing the importance of early contact providers, active patient engagement / decision making and clear, engaging communication.
Nationally and regionally, medical costs of spine care have increased significantly over the last 20 years, accompanied by an increase in spine disability. Studies show that first-line provider decisions greatly influence downstream chronicity, disability and costs. Thus, PCPs are a key in solving the problem of spine care.
At the conclusion of this 2 credit continuing educational program, you will be have a better understanding of the challenges of spine care and the clinical approach we expect from our primary care providers relative to spine care. Our community based approach is patient centred, evidence based and engages all those providers.
